Legacy
History of TiE Hyderabad
The idea to start the TiE Hyderabad Chapter began in an annual retreat of TiE Global in Hawaii, where the organization structure of TiE and its expansion across the world were discussed. During this retreat, it was decided that four Chapters would be established in India – Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai and Hyderabad.
"It was Srini Raju who founded the TiE Hyderabad Chapter in 1999 after his return to Hyderabad from the US and served as the President from 1999 to 2003."
TiE Hyderabad was established during a time when the city’s startup ecosystem was nascent. The Hyderabad chapter was the first organization in the city that brought together entrepreneurs and facilitated connections, which created a cohesive entrepreneur community.
